Life Care Center of Kona is located in beautiful Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, across from a major shopping area. We are near the beach, fine-dining restaurants and all the local attractions Kailua-Kona offers. For a day trip, we suggest:
- The H.N. Greenwell Store Museum is operated by the Kona Historical Society. It is the oldest surviving store in Kona, featuring living history storekeepers and an accurate depiction of a community general store from the 1890s.
- The annual 10-day Kona Coffee Festival preserves the 200-year history of coffee in the region and is held each winter. It is the oldest food festival in Hawaii.
- Kekaha Kai State Park offers gorgeous ocean-front recreation. From its sandy beach and clear waters to picnic areas and hiking, the Kona Coast is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon. Locals advise the unpaved road to the park is rough, but worth it.
