Life Care Center of Kona, Hawaii, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, recently earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The CMS ratings system is designed to assist the public in choosing care for their loved ones. It calculates the ratings based on results of health inspections, staffing and quality measures (including pain management, pressure ulcers, weight loss and falls).
“This is a direct result of the caring members of the facility team,” said Holly Raymer, executive director. “The rating gives the residents and their family members peace of mind that they are in a community that provides great care and service.”
The center received the rating in August 2016.
